We're sorry to see you go. Here's how to delete your account and what happens to your data.

How to Delete Your Account

Open the SafePath App

Launch the SafePath app on your iOS or Android device and make sure you're logged in.

Go to Profile Settings

Tap on your profile icon in the bottom navigation, then tap the settings gear icon in the top right corner.

Select "Delete Account"

Scroll down to find the "Delete Account" option and tap on it.

Confirm Deletion

Review the information about what will be deleted, then confirm by tapping "Delete My Account". You may need to re-authenticate for security purposes.

📋 Data Retention Notice

*Reviews: Your location reviews will be anonymized (author name removed and replaced with "Deleted User") but the review content may be retained to help other travelers. If you wish to have your reviews completely deleted, please contact us before deleting your account.

Processing time: Account deletion is processed immediately. Some cached data may take up to 48 hours to be fully removed from all systems.

Legal holds: In rare cases, we may be required to retain certain data for legal compliance purposes.

Can't Access the App?

If you're unable to delete your account through the app (e.g., you can't log in or the app is not available), you can request account deletion by emailing us. Please include the email address associated with your SafePath account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I reactivate my account after deletion?

No. Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you want to use SafePath again, you'll need to create a new account.

Will my reviews be deleted?

By default, your reviews are anonymized (your name is removed) but the content remains to help other travelers. If you want your reviews completely deleted, please contact us before deleting your account.

How long does deletion take?

Account deletion is processed immediately when done through the app. Email requests are processed within 7 business days. Some cached data may take up to 48 hours to be fully removed.

What if I just want to take a break?

Instead of deleting your account, you can simply log out and uninstall the app. Your account will remain inactive until you decide to return.
